Cal Poly accepts International Graduate Students applications through Cal State Apply, the common application for all CSU campuses.

  1. Choose a Program
    Cal Poly’s six colleges as well as our School of Education offer a variety of Master’s Degree Programs, included blended and concurrent degrees and graduate and professional certificates.
  2. Review Selection Criteria Your Program’s Requirements
    Review our selection criteria to ensure you are maximizing your opportunity for selection as well as placing the correct information on your application.
  3. Gather Application Materials
    In order to complete your application, make sure you have a copy of your transcripts, test scores, household annual income, and social security number (if available). If required for your program, you will also need to upload copies of your unofficial transcript(s), letters of recommendation, CV/resume, personal statements, etc.
  4. Review Deadlines
    The application deadline will depend on your program. Some programs only allow applications for the fall quarter, while others accept applications for the winter or spring quarters. 
  5. Apply
    Cal Poly accepts applications online through Cal State Apply. You may also want to look through our application resources for tips on how to complete the application.
  6. Send Your Application Support Documents
    All graduate applicants must send official transcripts from the degree granting institution when submitting their application as well as any other supporting documents, your GRE scores and your English proficiency exam scores (if applicable).
