At Cal Poly, experience is part of the curriculum.

Here, education extends beyond the classroom and into real-world environments. From your first year on campus, you’ll apply your learning through collaboration with students, faculty and industry partners contributing to solutions for society’s challenges.

We require students to declare a major as part of the application process in order to maximize their experience in their chosen field from Day One. While changing your major may be possible, we recommend you explore majors thoroughly before making your choice.
