Office of Financial Aid
College is likely to be one of the most important purchases you will make and could be your first significant financial obligation. With smart planning at the early stages of your education, you can help position yourself well for decades to come. The Financial Aid office is here to help you secure the resources to fund your education.
Student Loan Forgiveness
On August 24, 2022, President Biden announced that the US Department of Education will forgive $10,000 in student loan debt to existing borrowers with incomes below $125K (or $250K for married couple), and $20,000 to those who also received Pell Grant assistance. This relief only applies to loans borrowed and received before 6/30/22. Check your student aid history, including loan balances and Pell Grant status, at www.studentaid.gov. You can also sign up to be notified by the U.S. Department of Education for additional information as it's released.
