State Grants

State grants are funded by the state of California and are available to eligible students as determined by the information you put on the FAFSA or California Dream Act Application.


Cal Grant

The Cal Grant is a state-funded, need-based grant awarded by the California Student Aid Commission. The Cal Grant pays the tuition fee portion of in-state resident fees.

California Middle-Class Scholarship

The California Middle-Class Scholarship program provides undergraduate students who meet the income and asset requirements a scholarship to attend University of California (UC) or California State University (CSU) campuses.

California Chafee Grant Program

The California Chafee Grant Program provides awards to former foster youths younger than 26 and who were living in foster care between the ages of 16 and 18. To be eligible, you must submit a FAFSA or California Dream Act Application and an online Chafee application.
