Supply Chain Management
The Supply Chain Management specialization at Cal Poly Maritime Academy prepares students for rewarding careers in designing, managing, and optimizing the flow of goods and services across global networks. Students will acquire essential expertise in operations management, logistics, port and terminal operations, global sourcing strategies and supply chain data analytics.

About the Program
The Business Administration major provides a hands-on, real-world education in global business, supply chain management, trade and transportation. Our goal is to develop leaders who will be competent, confident and prepared to manage international operations with professionalism and social responsibility.
A dynamic career in international business requires more than technical knowledge; it demands strong communication, critical thinking and cultural awareness. Our accredited program provides a solid foundation across the core disciplines of business — Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Analytics, International Business, Financial Management and Operations — while also offering a concentration in Supply Chain Management.
Students graduating from the program will acquire the tools, develop the skills and cultivate the strategic mindset needed to navigate the complexities of today’s dynamic and highly interconnected supply chains from the procurement of raw material to last mile delivery.

The program emphasizes experiential and applied learning, hands-on projects and industry collaboration to prepare students to navigate the complexities of supply chain and drive innovation.
Students have multiple opportunities to work on projects and case studies, complete internships or a faculty-led international study trip, attend field trips and academic competitions and participate in meetings of professional industry groups like the Intermodal Association of North America and the Northern California Propeller Club.
