Cal Poly is among the 50 best colleges ranked by affordability, according to Stacker.com.
The rankings system, which lists colleges in order from most to least expensive, placed Cal Poly at No. 42, among the more cost-effective options. The publication listed Cal Poly as an "academically revered college."
Other colleges that netted an affordable ranking included Virginia Tech, Texas A&M University and the University of South Carolina.
