Detective Conan is a manga series created by Gosho Aoyama. It is about a high school detective named Kudo Shinichi. he was well known throughout Japan until he witnesses a crime and was shrunk down to the size of a seven year old. Shinichi then took the name of Edogawa Conan and began living in his childhood friend's, Mouri Ran, home. Here, he uses his intellect to solve any cases that comes his way by secretly using Ran's father, Mouri Kogoro, as a puppet after he had been put to sleep with a anesthetic needle.
This is a great detective series that includes many wonderful characters, including various police officers, Conan's classmates, a phantom thief, and other high school detectives.
This series has been widely popular since its creation, over ten years ago. Most of its movies have premiered at the top of the box office records and stayed there for several weeks. It has reached 610 manga chapters (about 58 volumes), currently 472 anime episodes, 11 movies, several OVAs (or Original Video Anime), and a live action drama.
