Students: Submit Your Shots for the Cal Poly Web Photo Challenge
You Could Win a $50 El Corral Gift Card
STUDENTS: We want YOU to submit your best Cal Poly photo for possible use on the university’s home page (www.calpoly.edu).
If your photo is selected for use in the university home page photo rotator, you get a $50 El Corral gift card plus a photo credit on the Cal Poly Home Page Photo Gallery (http://www.calpoly.edu/home_photos.html). If your photo is selected for use on any other Cal Poly web page, you'll receive a $25 El Corral gift card plus a photo credit.
Selection criteria for the Cal Poly Home Page Photo Challenge winners: The shot(s) should illustrate one or more of these Cal Poly themes:
- Learn by doing philosophy and practices
- Location (on campus or off)
- Academically motivated students
- Innovative leaders and resourceful professionals among faculty, staff and students
- Strong campus spirit and learning communities
Additional Selection Criteria for $50 Home Page Photo Rotator Challenge Winners: The shot must illustrate one or more of the themes above and also look good when cropped horizontally to a size of 770 pixels wide by 200 pixels high (aspect ratio is roughly 4 to 1).
Submit your best jpg, or the link to your photo in an online gallery, to the Cal Poly Web Photo Challenge at polynews@calpoly.edu. Include the words "Photo Challenge" in the subject line, along with your contact information and caption information for the photo, and permission for Cal Poly to use the photo if selected. Winners will be selected by Public Affairs and other university staff. You must be the creator/photographer/owner of the photo and you must be willing to license the photo for all use on Cal Poly web sites and in Cal Poly publications.
