- Hand sanitizer

- Small Tissue Package / Handkerchief [carry with you]
- Clothes Pins/Laundry Line
- Small Sewing Kit
- Small First Aid Kit
- Traveler's kit: Bactrim, Pepto-Bismol, Immodium
- Bug Repellent/Post Bug Repellent/Anti-itch lotion
- Hand Towel/Wash Cloth
- Small Spray Bottle - useful to keep cool
- Sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat for protection from harmful effects of UV sun rays.
- Choose clothes that are airy [baggy], light in color and made from natural fibers. It will be very hot and humid.
- A windbreaker/Shell: something not so much for warmth because you can layer, but also to keep you dry in case of rain. Might get chilly at night at the hill tribe.
- An extra, smaller backpack for short trips.
- 3-4 pair shoes = dress up, sandals/zories/ tennis shoes - Make sure that your shoes are comfortable! Remember, you’ll be walking and hiking. You’ll also need sandals for beach and evening, zories or aqua slippers for in and around the water.
- Covered shoulders, knee length skirts for woman, pants for men, and closed toe shoes. Students wearing shorts, flip flops or uncovered shoulders will not be allowed inside.
Remember, coordination is everything! Choose clothing that can be layered if necessary and will mix and match for a variety of occasions.
- For Chiang Mai University: Shirts with collars or dressy shirt. Long pants, knee length dress or skirt. Dressy shoes or sandals okay.
