Dr. Blau, who joins the department in Fall 2008, taught at Michigan Technological University and Southern Illinois University before coming to Cal Poly. He will teach the department's performance of literature courses and occasional sections of intercultural communication. His research focuses on the intersection of performance and cultural studies, and his work has been published in Encyclopedia of Activism and Social Justice, Popular Music and Society, Perforum, and Revista Transcultural de Musica.
