Dr. Wilvert has an insatiable interest in the earth and its peoples. He has done research in (and traveled throughout) the United States, Europe, Middle America, and Australia. He has also traveled in Asia. His most recent research interests focus on population growth and land use changes along the Central Coast of California.

He is very committed to the educational welfare of his students and is always happy to talk with them in his office.
