Our chapter's active Philanthropy Committe works hard to keep us involved with local charities as well as national organizations. Members take part in activities focused on providing assistance to a variety of recipients. Through "Week of Giving", Beach Cleanup, People's Kitchen, and other volunteer programs we are able to exercise our giving spirits. Frats at Bat is a fraternity softball tournament traditionally held in the spring, where Sigma Kappas team up with the community to raise money for Alzheimer's Disease research. Sigma Kappas organize the event and serve as coaches to the participating fraternities in this two day, double-elimination tournament. Last year, our chapter was able to raise $2,300 towards Alzheimer's Disease research and we hope to raise at least $3,000 in our 10th annual Frat's at Bat tournament coming up next spring.
