Who the hell decided that I can't put up lights before Thanksgiving? Screw that! I'll put up my lights as early as I want. You mark your calendar like a die hard Running Thunder member scheduling everything around it! For those members, we commend you! We'd also like to tell you that we are not having a general meeting this Wednesday. Instead we've decided to do something special... We're going to Spike's on TUESDAY for Taco Tuesday! So bring a friend and come down to Spike's. If you need a ride, meet at the bus stop in front of VG's at 7 PM and we'll getcha a ride to Spike's and back. Well, it's dead week, so I'll break this up into two catagories: 1) If you are a freshman: Take a break from studying! You need it. Come out for an hour. Enjoy some FREE taco's -- yeah, you heard right! Running Thunder is buying you food! Hell Yeah! Spike's is ALL AGES. For those who have an ID with a picture that kinda looks like ya... Spike's has some very tasty beer from around the world. 2) If you are not a freshman: Come on! You've discovered that Dead Week is just a myth. There's no such thing as Dead Week! Teachers see it as another week to cram more shit into your brain. Students see it as another week to do what they normally do, whether it's taking a shot of Cuervo or sitting on the couch watching the Simpson's. You know you're not doing anything. Bull Shit you have projects due at the end of the week. You know you're a procrastinator and you're not going to do it until Thursday night! Also, most of ya are working on your Spike's Card so it's yet another excuse to join us. Am I convincing or what? Don't answer that :) Now that everyone's going to Spike's, there's one more upcoming thing to talk about. When you think Montery, you think Aquarium, right? Everybody in Montery must have season passes to that freak'n aquarium. Hell, each Monteryian family probably has little aquariums in every room of their house. So I was pretty surprised when I saw that we're playing Cal State Montery Bay. I forgot that there even was a Cal State Montery Bay. Now they have a Basketball team? You think that if we hold up a sign with a fish on it, they'll get distracted? Their mascot better not be the Sharks! HOld on... I'm checking... O shit, it's even better. It looks like we're going to be kicking the OTTER's ass on Thursday! So come to the Men's Basketball and watch us kick Monterey's ass in Mott Gym @ 7pm! If you haven't been to a basketball game yet, you don't know what your missing. One more thing.
