Tons of stuff. Scott and I made front page in the business section of the Telegram Tribune - a full color picture of us painting a window at the Laguna Village Shopping Center. We kicked ass at our first football home game. The P was lit the night before and night of the football game. Also if you looked up at the P after the game, you probably saw a V for Victory. Our new Front Porch made it's debut at our first football game! Be sure to stop by Front Porch and say hi on your way to the student section at each football game! Next week is homecoming and RT has always successfully competed in all of the events. Last year we got 2nd place. This year, it's time for first. Come out and help us in any of the events. Every year, Running Thunder kicks ass at all of the Homecoming events. Two years ago, we got 3rd. Last year we got 2nd. This year...well it's up to you! We need your help! There's a lot of stuff going on in preparation for Homecoming next week, so come out and help whenever you can! >>> Theme This year's is "Treasure Your Traditions." Our banner, float, and other homecoming events will carry that theme. Here's some of the things going on... >>> Mock Rock The first meeting for people interested in mock rock will be this Wednesday at 6 pm or as close to it as possible (in the green room, upstairs in Mott Gym). We will be doing the Madonna/Michael Jackson thing and will be needing energetic people to dance and have lots of fun with us. Practices for it will most likely be in the evenings this week and next week, but are yet to be determined. The first meeting for the banner making will be outside of the Campus Market on Thursday, Oct 12 @ 6pm. The second day for working on the banner will be on Friday, Oct 12 @ 4pm at Amity's House (Woodside Apartments #108, 200 N. Santa Rosa). We have our secret (and proven to be successful) strategy ready and we need people to help us out! We'll be dropping off empty bags with attached flyers on Friday, Oct 13 from 1-4pm and then we'll be picking them up on Wednesday, Oct 18th from 4:30-7. On both days, they'll be meeting in the parking lot next to the Administration building. We'll need all the hecklers and hooligans we can find! Recruit your friends, roommates, and those people that just kinda bug you because they won't shut up. The game will be on Saturday, Oct 21 @ 6pm ======================== >>>>>> Quickies ======================== We're asking anyone to show up an hour early to the football games if they have some free time to help setup. We decorate the stands, put Christmas lights on our new Front Porch, bring out the RT bell, etc. We're still looking for Team members. If you want to do more than just show up events, come check out Team. You can even slap it on your Resume!
