Positions available: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and, your's truly, Publicity. Come to the meeting for some FREE PIZZA and nominations. We'll also be talking about Magic Mountain (read below), Wildflower (read below), and Open House (read below). The general meeting is tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) at 7pm upstairs in Mott Gym (The Green Room). =================================================================== >>>>>> Wildflower info =================================================================== Everybody wants to go to Wildflower and there aren't enough spots. We've been allotted a certain amount of volunteers and guests. Those people who are in for sure should know who they are. For those of you on the waiting list, there is still chance. We're asking the people from high above for more spots and we are also allowed a certain amount of guests. The difference between a guest and a volunteer is: Volunteer: Must work two 6-hour shifts. You get a free T-shirt. Guest: Must pay about $20, but do not have to work. Guests do not get T-shirts. For all of you volunteers who ARE going: There is 2 Wildflower MANDATORY MEETINGS of which YOU MUST attend one of the them. If you don't or can't attend one then YOU DON'T GO. It's as simple as that. No exceptions. Please plan ahead. The meetings are on April 25 and 26 at 7pm. If you have received an email saying that you are an official RT volunteer and you would like to go as a GUEST (instead of a volunteer), please email rtclub@polymail.calpoly.edu so we can open up the volunteer spot for someone else. We'll try to please everybody, but no switches are guaranteed. *** If you are a volunteer list and you can no longer go to Wildflower, please Email us ASAP so we can open up the spot for someone else. We have a lot of people who are begging to go! *** If you have any questions about Wildflower or want to beg and plead and convince us why you should be allowed to go to Wildflower, come to the General Meeting tomorrow @ 7pm upstairs in Mott Gym or email us at rtclub@polymail.calpoly.edu . We'll be going to Magic Mountain just for the day and coming back that night. We've worked out an awesome deal so you'll be getting tickets for around 1/2 off. If you plan on going, email Sarah at stasker@calpoly.edu ASAP. Come to the General Meeting tomorrow (Wednesday) at 7pm upstairs in Mott Gym for more details. We'll be arranging carpools and giving you all the details. Most people are going just for the day. =================================================================== >>>>>> Open House =================================================================== Running Thunder will have it's own booth at Open House. We'll be setting up the Front Porch booth that you saw at the football games. The nominees for next year's Running Thunder executive board will be running the RT booth, so you watch them hard at work. Also we need volunteers to help us out. We'll give you more info at the General Meeting tomorrow. If you don't know when and where the meeting is by now, then how did you read this far in the first place? Open House presents Poly Royal (as they like to officially call it this year) will be on Saturday, April 21. We need help throughout the day, so please come and help us out, even if you only have an hour or 2 free. =================================================================== >>>>>> Progressive Dinner =================================================================== What's a progressive dinner? Well you start at one person's house and have some Appetizers. Then you go to another person's house for Salad. Then another for the main dish... you get the picture. We finally finish up the night with tasty beverages and dirty, fermented water. The progressive dinner will be on May 18th. We're looking for people to host each part of the progressive dinner. Here's the different courses: Appetizer, Salad, Main, Dessert, and after dinner festivities. You'll be reimbursed for the costs of the food if you host part of the dinner.
