Kirkwood wasn't too crowded. I made some money at the casinos. We met up with some old RT alumni. And most of us had a great time. Some got some unexpected exercise on an extended hike. One quick story... So Sarah's car left around 10:30 on Monday headed for SLO. Travis's car (the last one to leave), left at about the same time, but had to drop off the keys to the condo at the real estate office. After that we decided that we needed to gamble, so we stopped at the casinos and ended up staying for an hour & a half. Travis made $100 and I came out $15 ahead. Then we got on the road and learned that Sarah was still in town, stuck in traffic for the last 2 hours. Since we were hungry, our car decided to stop at Albertson's and we got a ton of chicken & other food and a MAP. We asked the locals for the quickest way to get around the traffic. About 15 minutes later, at a stoplight, we pulled right in front of Sarah's car. The phone rings, "I didn't just see you, did I?" ...no but we ate too much and we won $115 while you were in traffic and now you're behind us :) =================================================================== >>>>>> GENERAL MEETING this week =================================================================== We are having a General Meeting this Wednesday, Feb 21 at 7pm, upstairs in Mott Gym (the Green Room). We'll be talking about the big UCSB Men's basketball game, free rally's & Tri-Tip BBQ, and Marde Gras. We'll be building our Marde Gras float, so come to the meeting for float building times and Marde Gras parade info. Haven't been to an RT meeting for a while? Stop by and say Hi. Meetings are usually only a 1/2 hour long so it won't take too much time out of your busy schedule. =================================================================== >>>>>> UCSB invades Cal Poly =================================================================== Sources tell us that UCSB is bringing approx. 100 students and another couple of bus loads of fans. That means that we need everyone at the game, otherwise, Cal Poly will be outnumbered on their home court! Please come to the game and wear green & gold. Here's the schedule of events for THURSDAY's game day: -11am UU Hour: We'll be passing our flyers -12pm: Rally in the UU -5pm-7pm: Free Tri-Tip for all dormies at VG's Free Concert & Rally @ VG's Pick up your free ticket @ VG's for the UCSB basketball game @ 7pm before they run out -7pm: Men's Basketball: Cal Poly vs. UCSB in Mott Gym Bring your attitude, energy, Green & Gold, and signs. You cannot say "You Suck" on your signs, but they never said anything about saying "You Swallow". Today's fact of the day: UCSB students are known for having the highest STD rate. Some call them UCSTD. Maybe that will stir some creativity when making your signs. =================================================================== >>>>>> Marde Gras =================================================================== Mark your calendars! Marde Gras is on Fat Tues: *** FEB 27 *** We'll be working on our float this week, so come to Wednesday's general meeting for float building times.
