California Polytechnic State University Math Club- The Coolest place on Earth

Enjoy Your Summer 2007!!
The Math Club is a social club for math majors and mathly-sympathizers. We try to foster the creation of social skills for our members byhaving lots of purely social events. Events include bonfires, student-faculty softball games, kayaking and board game nights. Funds are raised through a quarterly used book sale, from T-Shirt sales, and various other fundraisers. Please see the fundraisers section to find out how to support us. Our events are generally paid for by the club for all who participate. There are no dues and all are welcome to join in at any time.

Note to Math Club Officers:
This is the first of three sample websites for your consideration. I tried to take into account all suggestions that we discussed at our last meeting with the exceptions listed below. Naturally, it is still a work in progress and will be followed by 2 more examples (I plan to only create one page for each of these examples, if you like them then I will just cut and paste the code into the other pages- relativly quick process). Also note that the email and shirt forms do not yet work (I know somebody is going to try it!!). I still need to get information on how the CGI script works.

Exceptions:

I have not yet included the floating Pi pointer, but will have it up this week
The logo still has some gradient to it although I tried to lighten it up and smooth it out a bit, I feel that doing a strait color would look sort of weird, when I produce the next sample page I will have a logo with a single color so that we can compare and choose.
The logo is the same on every page, this is partially a time issue (I have been moving...), and partially because I wanted to see what you guys thought of the textured background. I will produce new logos for each page in the coming week based on what you think.
I still plan to look into a dynamic calender
I put a link to the Ubuntu Webiste at the bottom of the page (gotta sport the cause right?) if you guys really don't like it I can remove it
The main issue that I have with it is that although the webiste looks really slick to me, there isn't enough math stuff on it, it looks like the homepage to a cigar club. I plan to look around for ways to remedy this...

Other Notes:

I plan to change the color of the links as the purple "visited link" is hard to read with the background
On the Shirt order form, I plan to change the shirt style and shirt size options to drop down menus once I know what those options are.
I looked into floating sub-menus but have not yet seen a need for them- our website is not very complicated
No, we do not have to keep my comments in the meetings page, I was bored and delerious!
