Extra Credit Paper

To receive extra credit, you are welcome to write a paper describing how we know what we know about a topic in astronomy of interest to you. When you describe how we know something in astronomy you will want to discuss the ways in which the information was obtained and what ideas from physics were used to reach a particular conclusion. Your paper should be a minimum of three pages (doubled spaced text) turned in to me before the last day of class. You will need to use at least three references and state your sources at the end of your paper. Please feel free to discuss with me any ideas you have for topics or clarification on what I mean by describing how we know something in astronomy.
