Spring Work Party

There will be no work party Saturday May 26th. Sorry for the late notice, but we will be meeting the following weekend in the morning and have a small bbq that afternoon/evening at the solar house for all the members and advisors.

Invited for solar talk

Tomorrow (5-22-07) Dr. Vigil is planning on talking about solar efficiencies while doing a lab experiment.  If anyone is interested in attending his class at 1:30pm email me at phaidra_rice@yahoo.com.  He said that he would like about 3 or 4 people to attend if they would like!  See you all Tuesday at 11!

Volunteers Needed at Cal Poly Organic Farm

The Cal Poly Organic Farm is looking for some help. We are looking for a slightly more structured environment that would appeal to area teachers and better meet their curriculum needs.  For this we need volunteer help with hosting the groups, dreaming up creative projects, constructing projects etc.

On June 1st @ 10:15 Pacheco Elementary students will be touring. If interested for that or future events, please contact Anastasia Killham at: 805-801-0179 or e-mail: killham@hotmail.com

In addition, for anyone sticking around over the summer, come volunteer at the farm.  Help is especially needed on Mondays & Thursdays from 10-2.  Of course we also have work-trade opportunities and encourage student/senior projects at the Farm so the possibilities are limitless.  We always need more "Friends of the Farm."

REC Week 8 Updates

This Tuesday, May 22, from 11-12 we will be having our regular meeting back in Building 5-106. We will be discussing different projects to work on for next year such as:

1. Solar 09 Competition
2. Reccenter Oppl
3. Wind Turbine
4. Emerging Green Builders
5. Solar House Upkeep
   
6. Outreach / community awareness - highschools etc
