Dr. Penny Bennett is a Professor at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. Her teaching and research specialties are in digital printing, prepress and packaging. Dr. Bennett holds four degrees including a Ph.D. in Education from the University of Idaho, a Master's degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, a B.S. degree and an A.A.S. degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Michigan.

Dr. Bennett came to Cal Poly in 2000 with 13 years of teaching experience having taught at Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho,and the Community College of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Dr. Bennett has conducted research for Electronic Document Systems Foundation (EDSF) and Dow Jones Wall Street Journal. She has written publications on Digital Printing and VDP, PDF production and web-based learning. She has also given presentations in St. Petersburg, Russia, Mexico City and Shanghai, China. She has presented seminars on Digital Printing and Variable Data Printing at GraphExpo, Print 05 and the GATF Variable Data Conference.
