The Cal Poly Brass Choirs, featuring many of the university's top brass players, will perform a concert, titled “All That Brass!.” It will include classical and jazz selections by composers including J. S. Bach and John Philip Sousa.
Additional highlights will include the Cal Poly Brass Quintet performing Anthony DiLorenzo's "Fire Dance" and J. S. Bach's "Contrapunctus IX." Also appearing in concert will be Cal Poly’s Horn Quartet and Trombone Choir.

Percussion Ensemble Recital

The ensemble, directed by Music Department faculty member John Astaire, will perform a wide variety of contemporary works for percussion.
The nature of the music to be performed ranges from meditative and contemplative to driving and bombastic and will feature a myriad of instruments not usually seen on stage. Included will be music by Astaire as well as Christopher Rouse, Steve Reich, Paul Elwood and Minoru Miki.

Several Cal Poly music ensembles will perform a variety of traditional and contemporary repertoire featuring woodwind instruments. The concert will include performances by the woodwind quintet, saxophone quartet, saxophone ensemble, flute choir and clarinet ensemble.
