Dr. Brammeier is the coordinator for the music theory
and musicianship programs. Before coming to Cal Poly,
Dr. Brammeier served as a visiting professor at Pomona
College, where she taught music theory and music history.
She also taught music theory, orchestration and aural
(musicianship) skills as a part-time instructor at the
University of Southern California. As a composer, she
has studied with Samuel Adler, Steven Mackey, and Stephen
Hartke. Her compositions have been performed throughout
the United States, most recently including the USC Symphony's
premiere of Revelations for Orchestra.
