The Mechanical Contractor Association of America (MCAA) Cal Poly Student Chapter is sponsered by Northern California MCAA. The club focuses on furthering student understanding of Mechanical Contracting in the Construction Management Department at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.
MCAA offers the opportunity to learn and be involved with Mechanical Systems each year through a National Student Competition Sponsored by the National MCAA Organization. In the 2006-2007 School Year, Cal Poly Won the National Competition. The club also takes field trips each year to local mechanical contractors to better understand mechanical contracting. There are approximately 12 Construction Management students with active membership in MCAA.
