Dr.
Fose taking a trombone solo with the Indiana
University Jazz Band
Dr.
Fose remains active as a musician in both San Diego
and San Luis Obispo. She is an avid lover of jazz (especially
Dixieland) and performed frequently on trombone with
the Tin Roof Hot Cats Dixieland Band of San Diego.
Dr.
Fose is also active as a composer. Her children's
musicals, The Christmas Rose and The
Mystery Child have
both been premiered by the Pacific Beach United
Methodist Church. The PBUMC Voices of Praise Choir
performs many of her compositions and arrangements
on a regular basis. Her current composition project
is a commissioned Christmas musical drama for PBUMC's
Voices of Praise drama team and orchestra, entitled Joseph:
The Earthly Father, which examines
the nativity from Joseph's point of view. Other
compositions include music commissioned for the
California Space Institute's Educational
CD ROM and a commissioned arrangement
for piano of Great
is Thy Faithfulness which is featured
on Dr. Kay Etheridge's compact disc A
Return to Hymns.
