The beautiful forests, parks, waters and wildlife of Barcelona make it an enchanting place for any visitor.

If you travel to Barcelona you'll find it is a city of a great wealth of activity and a tourist mecca.  A tourist venturing through the streets of Barcelona may view its attractions by the many travelling routes.  The covered rondes, the water route, by bicycle, the market route, the garden route, and many other multicultural venues are among the attractions that Barcelona has to offer.  Either by day or night Barcelona with enchant and simply mystify.  The seafront offers a wide variety of possibilities.  From a visit of Barcelona’s various beaches to enjoying a day on the sea.  Many notable and famous beaches include Sant Sebasia, La Barceloneta, and Mar Bella.  The river Besos boasts new developments including a marine wildlife park, park and bathing areas to suite many different needs and options for a relaxing day out.

A Barcelona visit at night creates the dilemma for determining not what to find, but deciding which place to choose to go to among the variety of the cities nightlife locations.  The city is a metropolitan and cultural vista, with many diverse locations for night time enjoyment in Barcelona.  You might decide to visit a light bar for champagne and cocktails, and then enjoy a meal in a classically decadent restaurant with authentic traditional Mediterranean cuisine.  Afterwards, you can dance the night away in one of Barcelona’s discotheques, clubs and dance halls featuring disc jockeyed music or live musicians.  Or if you taste leans towards the arts, a variety of theatres and cinemas are available for nightly entertainment.  As well museums and art exhibits feature the art and exhibit collections that are located within Barcelona.  To name some of the museums worthwhile to visit while in Barcelona, Museu de Ceramica, Museu Textil Indument, Museu Arts Decoratives, Museu Frederic Mares, Museu Picasso, Museu d’Historia Ciutat, Museu de la Musica, Museu de Ciencies, Jardi Botanic, Museu Etnologic, Institut Botanic Barcelona and Cabinet d’Arts Grafiques.  Each presents completely unique and diverse artistic experiences.

Places to visit in Barcelona 

When visiting Barcelona it is well worth the mention not to miss some of the places to visit in Barcelona’s - it's major points of interest.  Of note, the Rambla, the Gothic Quarter, Collserola Tower and the Observation Deck, The fountains of Montjuic, and Olympic Barcelona,. The Rambla is a connection of city streets which are a trademark landmark of the city, some what of a travel route as well while making your way through the city. The Gothic Quarter is a section of buildings from many different eras, which include buildings and monuments of great architectural and artistic heritage from the past.  Collserola Tower is a telecommunications tower, created for the Olympic Games and remains a tourist attraction for people who visit Barcelona.  The tenth floor of the tower is an observation deck, in which one can have a very different view of the city, a quite astonishing and magnificent way to see Barcelona that should not be missed.  One of the most unique attractions in Barcelona is the fountains of Montjuic, or the magic fountain.  Artistically created the fountain was created by the idea of the changing shape of water and it is a magnificent display of water and artistic creation.  Olympic Barcelona is a construction that was invested into by the city and now stands as a historical landmark.  Its features include the Olympic villages, with hotels and buildings for both athletic and recreational use.  As well as the parks, fountains, and monuments.  The Olympic harbour, ring, stadium, swimming pools, sports halls, and the national physical education centre are a monument to the Olympic designers and constructors.

When planning a Barcelona visit one should also be aware of the calendar of festivals which offers a variety of cultural experiences to discover.  Festivals include the Sonar Festival of Advanced Music and Art, the Festival of Contemporary Music, the Barcelona Guitar Festival, the Festival of Early Music, the Festival LEM, the Ciutat Vella Flamenco Festival, the Festival of World Music, the Festival of Opera, and the Alternative 2000 International Festival of Independent Film. Barcelona is truly a metropolitan city with a cultural and scenic beauty to truly experience to its fullest.
