Invacare Corporation, Cleveland, Ohio (1992,1993) - Primary responsibilities included the development of reinforced plastic products for the health care industry. This included: design, finite element analysis, prototype fabrication and evolution of manufacturing processes for SRIM (Structural Reaction injection molded), co-injection molded, and laminated composite structures.
Lionakis-Beaumont Design Group, Sacramento, Ca. (1996) - Performed inelastic finite element analyses of beam-column joint for structural steel buildings. Analysis was used to verify integrity of post Northridge earthquake joint design.
Gibson Design Group, Rancho Cordova, Ca. (1992,1993) - Used laminated plate theory and finite element techniques to design an elastic-tailored fork for road racing bicycles. Developed proprietary Resin Transfer Molding process and produced and tested prototypes.

Lead Engineer in charge of Space Vehicle Structure Design and Development. Work includes CAD 3-D parametric solids modeling, structural analysis using mechanics of materials methods and linear and nonlinear finite element analysis, composites analysis, prototype design, manufacturing process and tooling design, and development testing. Major Projects include:
Kistler Program ñ Lead Structural Engineer for Propulsion System of Commercial Satellite Launch Vehicle. Principle work is the design and analysis of orbital and maneuvering system structure, pressurization system structural analysis, and structural integration of Russian NK33/43 rocket engines. Responsibilities included directing a team of analysts and collaboration with Russian engineers and scientists.
Rocket Materials Program ñ Lead the design and analysis efforts for composite material research program. Developing Silicon Carbide/Silicon Carbide Composite Material and Demonstration Components. Work includes development of triaxial braid architectures, mechanical and bonded joint techniques, finite element material models and analysis techniques. Teamed with researchers from IHI Corporation of Tokyo Japan. Work includes collaboration with Japanese engineers and scientists.
Brilliant Pebbles Integrated Structure - Developed a graphite/epoxy and beryllium structure that integrated payload and propulsion subsystems. The design included very-high modulus carbon reinforcement, elastically-tailored thrust mounts, and passive damping to limit structural dynamic response.
High Endo-atmospheric Interceptor (HEDI) Engine Analysis - Performed linear and nonlinear FEA of composite propulsion system. Verified integrity of stainless, titanium and silica-phenolic chamber and injector assembly.
HEDI Propellant Tank - Performed failure analysis of insulation. Conceived analyzed and tested a replacement company proprietary composite insulation that is capable of withstanding cryoform cryogenic temperatures and strains in addition to hot gas expulsion temperatures.
Advanced Liquid Axial Stage (ALAS) Composite Structure - Designed, analyzed, fabricated and tested interceptor flight vehicle structure using injection molded thermoplastic, continuos fiber reinforced thermoplastic, and braided fiber and resin transfer molded Bismaleimide resin composites.
ALAS Phase II Axial Engine - Designed Braided Carbon-Carbon Thrust chamber Assembly. Conceived insulated thrust chamber attachment scheme for stainless steel to Carbon-Carbon thermal-structural joint. Directed analyses of the complex coupled thermal-structural problem.

Design and implementation of computer controlled process and packaging machinery for plastic product manufacturing. Major Projects included:
Development of complete carton packaging and handling machine - Conceived designed, analyzed, developed, fabricated and implemented a computer controlled automated packaging machine. Principal engineer for this $600,000 one and a half year project that culminated with installation of the machine in plants an New Jersey, Chicago and California.
DTL (Drink thru lid) - Developed concept and tooling for production of Drink-thru-lids for McDonalds Corp. and numerous in-house product lines.
