Mission Statement
The primary mission of the International Education & Programs Office is to provide leadership and coordination for Cal Poly’s international endeavors, and to serve as the principal resource center for international education.

Overview of Programs & Services

IEP serves as the principal resource center for international education at Cal Poly. In its function as the clearinghouse for all international initiatives on campus, IEP assumes primary responsibility for informing students about and administering most of the study abroad opportunities currently available to us. Incoming international students are provided with an orientation, INS and immigration counseling, and an adviser to deal with a variety of nonacademic issues with which international students generally must deal during their residency at Cal Poly. IEP provides direction and coordination of exchange agreements for faculty and students involved in such exchanges with both domestic and foreign governmental agencies, faculty services, and business corporations. As the liaison to the on-campus and off-campus community, IEP hosts and plans for visitors from overseas institutions and serves as a repository of information on international education.
