Users should be careful when using /tmp space for files.  This space
is intended as temporary space that is available for at most a day.
It is not backed up and there is no guarantees placed on the
availability of any files placed there.  This space should not be used
for classroom assignments or other long term important files.

Users who are having legitimate quota problems should come to Academic
Computing Services in room 102 of building 12 (the Air Conditioning
building).  Please call ahead at extension 2516 to check on
availability of the proper personnel for assistance.  If there is a
valid case for additional disk quota, we will make every attempt to
satisfy the need within resource limitations.
