A new version of the McAfee virus software for IBM PCs and
compatibles is now available on AIX for user downloading.  The
file is a self extracting archive and is located on the system as
"/usr/local/pub/pc/pc-virus/vscan93.exe".

Transfer the file to your system with the file type set to
binary.  Create the directory where you wish to place it, then
run the program from the directory that you have created.  The
executable files and documentation will be extracted and stored
in that directory.  It is strongly suggested that users scan ANY
executables that are transferred to their system, including virus
software updates, before those files are executed.

This package now includes a windows version which will allow
users to scan for viruses while within the windows environment.

This software is available to all Cal Poly students, faculty, and
staff under site license.
