The change finger command (chfn) is being disabled for general
student access on AIX effective immediately.  This is being
done due to problems encountered when trying to determine
the owners name for an account.  In many cases the full name
field bears no resemblance to any name that should be associated
with the login name.

All non-student accounts will continue to have access to the
command.  We request that they also keep the full name field as
a valid name for the owner of the account.

The command will remain disabled as long as the files it modifies
are the only on-line record of account ownership.  All exiting
names which do not match will be changed back to the original
values.
