The following commands may be used to print on the various AIX systems to the high speed printer in the Machine Room. In each case: "filename" is replaced with one or more filenames that are to be printed; "ii" is the user's first and last initials; And "nn" is a box number for pickup in the distribution area under the staircase on the ground floor of the Computer Science Building. PRINTING WHILE LOGGED ONTO AIX/370 (INCLUDING THE PS/2s) print -to=ii_BOXnn filename PRINTING WHILE LOGGED ONTO THE RISC/6000 SYSTEMS lp -tii_BOXnn filename or lpr -J ii_BOXnn filename NOTE: There is no space after the "-t" on the "lp" command and there is a space after the "-J" on the "lpr" command. Also note the "-J" is capitalized on the "lpr" command. Please allow 1 to 2 hours during normal operations hours to pickup your output. Output without box numbers will be filed based on the day of the week.
