HP-UX Update (10/9/96)

The schedule has slipped from the initial goal of a new mail server in
place by September 13th.  Due to a technical problem with
interoperability between AIX 3.2.5 and HP-UX 10.10, file sharing
specifically, the older AIX machines had to be upgraded to a newer
version of the operating system.  This upgrade will eliminate the
filesharing problem and permit the transition of the mail services from
AIX to HP-UX.

The last of the AIX machines are scheduled to be upgraded on the weekend
of October 13 and the next mail migration date to move mail from AIX to
HP-UX is tentatively set for October 20 or earlier.
