"finger" command disabled until further notice Because of a bug in the finger wrapper, the command has been disabled until further notice. Up until this point it was not providing the proper output and its performance was not only slow, but it was producing a major hit on the system. Once the problem is fixed, the command will be re-enabled. In the meantime, finger still works on the AIX site "rodin". User who need to use this function may login there until the problem is fixed on HP-UX. Users who used finger to determine who was logged in may use the w or who commands since all Central UNIX users currently logi in to one HP system.
