IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOUT CPNN AND GOPHER!

CPNN is currently undergoing some great changes:

1)	CPNN is being phased out and will be gone by the end of Fall 
Quarter 1993

2)	CPNN is going to be replaced with a Cal Poly gopher information 
server.

3)	No new information documents will be added to CPNN, but existing 
documents will continue to be updated.

4)	The Open Class List will be on CPNN for as long as it is available 
for Fall Quarter.

5)	The Open Class List for Winter and the succeeding quarters will be 
available on Cal Poly's gopher server.

6)	The command "gopher" will now connect to the Cal Poly gopher 
information server instead of the University of Minnesota gopher 
server.  Those who wish to get to the University of Minnesota can 
still access it by selecting "Other Gopher Servers" from the main 
menu on the Cal Poly server.

7)	For users with X windows compatible workstations, xgopher and moog 
are also available, both accessing the Cal Poly gopher server.

8)	Information providers will be contacted during Fall Quarter to 
instruct them on the new and easier methods of updating their 
documents on gopher.

9)	For those interested in becoming an Information Provider, please 
go to Room 115 in Building 14 (Computer Science) and pick up a 
Gopher Provider Form.
