Change in the Cal Poly Gopher Services

What is the Reason for the Change?
        
        A new server has been installed on the HP-UX system. File
        systems will be moved to the new server on this date.
        
Who is Affected by the Change?
        
        Most users should not notice the transition with a couple of
        exceptions. The same server software is being used on both
        platforms.
        
What is the Expected Outcome of this Change?
        
        Greater performance and increased delivery speed of on-line
        documents to the user's browser (depending on their own
        connection, of course) should result. However, users will notice
        that Jughead and WAIS indexes of the Cal Poly Gopher server will
        no longer be available and that non-GopherPlus queries will no-
        longer function.
        
        Most notably, the Open Class List queries will be available to
        Gopher browsers, but unavailable to Web browsers.
        
        The Open Class List information is available via the College of
        Business - Open Class Searcher at
        http://www.cob.calpoly.edu/SBulletin/openclass.html. A simpler
        form with similar options to the old Gopher Searches is
