Mail Delivery Problems via Directory Server on March 10, 1998

March 10, 1998 Mailer Problem:
        
        If you sent electronic mail between 9:00 AM and 11:30 AM on
        March 10, 1998 and expect a reply, you may want to resend that
        mail.
        
        Mail sent during that time may have been delivered with an
        incorrect return address (alias@polymail.calpoly.edu instead of
        alias@calpoly.edu).  A possible consequence is that replies will
        be misdirected or lost.
        
        This problem is now resolved; it was a side-effect of moving the
        Directory Server to a new machine.
        
March 9, 1998 Mailer Problem Update:
        
        If you sent mail to any alias@calpoly.edu address on March 9
        between 10:00 AM and 10:20 AM, you may have to resend it
        regardless of whether you received a mail error message.
        
        No mail sent to alias@calpoly.edu during this time period was
        delivered.  This means that if you also have a return address of
        alias@calpoly.edu, you never received the bounced mail errors!
