System Quota Bug Fix Installed

The long awaited system quota bug fix was installed this last weekend
(March 6).  With positive results of internal testing since the
installation, the automatic jobs being run to synchronize the quotas
have been turned off to reduce system load.  (These jobs ran at 20
minute intervals and were required to keep reported quota usage aligned
with actual account usage.)

If you feel that your account may be experiencing a difference between
what the command "quota" reports your usage to be and what it actually
is ("du -ks" executed from your home directory), please report it
immediately.

Computing Services by telephone at 756-2516 or in person at Building 14
(CSc) Room 115 for immediate action.  When immediate response is not
