Software Being Provided by HP

The following table lists Software that HP will be providing as part of the new system.

MeasureWare RS/6000Client software to allow monitoring the old AIX machines from the new systems management system.
MirrorDsk/UXSoftware that provides disk mirroring. The root volume groups of all six HP machines will be mirrored.
Netscape Commerece ServerWill be investigated as a potential replacement for NCSA HTTPd after migration.
OnLineJFSProvides many disk management services imiliar to those currently in use on the AIX cluster including on-line resizing of the filesystems.
OpenMailClient/Server based email system which will be phased in over the coming year.
OpenSpoolPrint management facility.
OpenTimeClient/Server based calendaring system which will be phased in over the coming year.
OpenViewX11 Windowing environment.
OpenView IT/AdministrationRemote system administration capabilities from a centralized location.
OpenView IT/OperationsRemote system monitoring capabilities from a remote location.

PRM (Process Resource Manage)Process management software.
Service GuardSystem failure management software. Provides for resumuption of services after hardware and software failures.
