The following table lists Applications that are currently installed on Central UNIX. It does not include all system commands or applications, but those that were installed separately or might be expected by users.  Applications are listed by name, which may not be the same as the command(s) needed to utilize the application.  If the application name and the commands are different, the command names will be listed in the description section.  For additional information on the commands, enter

    % man command-name<RETURN>

at the Central UNIX system prompt.

For man pages in general go here.

If you do not see an application listed below that isn't a normal part of UNIX and you used it on the AIX system and would like to see it on the HP-UX system, email suggestions and provide all of the necessary information to describe and locate the software.  Software which will be used by classes will receive the highest priority for installation once the software is acquired.

You can also use the on-line suggestion form to submit a suggestion for software.

This page will be updated as more software becomes available.  Please check back quarterly for updates.  Products added or updated during the current quarter will have the "Installation Date" displayed in bold text.
