The migration of mail from the temporary site back to the production server did not occur on March 16 as previously planned. The reasons for this were:

Hardware problems on the production server that would prevent the migration at the previously scheduled time.
Operating System patch problems that caused software failures on the production server.
There wasn't enough time to address these problems and migrate mail back to the production server by the planned date.

As a result of these events, the migration of mail from the temporary server back to the production server was postponed until April 6, 1997. April 6 is the earliest available date for this postponement. The quarter break downtime is still going to occur as planned.
