TIPS TO KEEP *COOL* ON WARMER DAYS

ALERT: With the warmer weather this weekend, here are some tips to help keep your room cool:
1. Turn the heater fan switch to "OFF".
2. Keep the blinds closed during the day.
3. Open your window to allow cool air into the room during the early morning when temperatures are low.
4. Cross ventilation: work with your neighbor across the corridor to have windows open to encourage air flow.
5. Use a small fan in your room.
SIERRA MADRE HALL
VOLLEYBALL COURT CLOSURE
UPDATED: MONDAY, OCTOBER 24, 2011
ALERT: Heavy rains last winter caused erosion of a hillside near the north sand volleyball court behind the Sierra Madre Hall. A soils engineer has evaluated the damage and there is no concern for buildings in the area. However due to this erosion, the hillside is now fenced off. For everyone's safety, access to this area is now restricted.
RESIDENT ACTIONS: The picnic area, south volleyball court, and upper basketball court remain available for resident use. Please use those areas, and do not enter the restricted area.
