The International Journal of Internet and Enterprise Management (IJIEM) will publish a special issue entitled "Digital Enterprises with e-Commerce Engineering" for the International Conference on e-Commerce Engineering: Digital Enterprises and Nontraditional Industrialization (ICeCE'2003). The aim of organizing this special issue is to provide a forum for researchers to report current achievements and to identify possible directions for further developments and industrial practices in the area of digital enterprises combined with e-commerce engineering.
Hereby the guest editors are responsible to select high-quality papers not only from ICeCE'2003 proceedings but also from any submissions around the world for this special issue. The topics of contributions may include, but not limited to:

Enterprise Modeling and Management Integrated with e-Commerce Technology, including new manufacturing modes integrated with e-commerce, integration of e-commerce with MRP, organizational change, reengineering processes with e-commerce, restructuring industries with e-commerce, global enterprise resource planning in e-commerce environment, procurement reengineering, etc.

e-Technologies for Manufacturing Engineering, including e-service in global manufacturing, web-based CAD/CAPP/CAM delivery, manufacturing system configuration combined with e-commerce, application service provision for CAX, etc.

Web-Based Information System and Digital Factory, including product data management, virtual manufacturing on web, product recycling network, digital technologies in remote manufacturing monitoring and diagnosing, digital manufacturing cell and shop flow, information issues in process and production planning, supply chain management in e-commerce framework, mass customization, quality control and assurance on web, etc.

Collaboration in e-Commerce Engineering, including collaboration in global design and manufacturing process chain, CSCW applications in e-commerce, friendly man-machine interface and communication for collaborative engineering commerce, etc.

Knowledge Engineering in e-Commerce Environment, including data mining, enterprise core knowledge management considering e-commerce technology, intelligent workflow management, product innovation, agent-based commerce, etc.
It should be noted that papers focused on using and integrating e-commerce technology in made-by-order manufacturing management, mass customization, enterprise resource planning, manufacturing costing, online service delivery for both products and application systems, supply chain management, global virtual enterprise formation, collaborative manufacturing commerce, and so on, are particularly welcome.

Submission Instructions

A submitted paper must not have been published, accepted for publication, or presently be under consideration for publication elsewhere.

Electronic submission is required. Manuscript
in MS-Word or PDF format must be emailed to the Guest Editor.

A complete submission must include: (1) the cover
letter, (2) the title page, and (3) the manuscript without authors' names
in three separate MS-Word files. These files should be submitted electronically
to the Guest Editor. Please specify "DEeCE Submission" in the "Subject"
of your e-mail message.

Each paper will undergo two rounds of double-blind
reviews. Any paper fails to meet the required revisions after two rounds
of reviews will be rejected unless only minor changes are needed.

Please submit your manuscript with a cover letter/e-mail
containing the following imperative statements: (Click

Title and the central theme of the article.

Which subject/theme of the Journal the material fits.
-
Why the material is important in its field and why
the material should be published in this Journal.

Nomination of up to four recognized experts who would
be considered appropriate to review the submission. Please state (1) the
names, title, addresses, phone, fax, and email addresses of these reviewers,
(2) the expertise of each reviewer relating to your paper, and (3) your
relationship with each of them. An attempt will be made to select at least
one of the reviewer nominations.

The fact that the manuscript contains original unpublished
work and is not being submitted for publication elsewhere.

Note that author name(s) must not appear anywhere
else in the manuscript except in the title page and the reference list
(if cited). No information can be placed in the properties of the manuscript's
electronic file. Inappropriate submissions will be returned to authors.
Factors leading to this action include submission with improper or no cover
letter, excessive length, technically inappropriate material, single spaced
body of text, subject of no interest to readers, manuscripts simultaneously
submitted to other publications, and manuscripts not adhering to author
guidelines. Non-English speaking author should have his/her paper proofread
by a professional technical writer for grammatical and spelling corrections
as well as the readability of the paper, before submitting it to the Guest
Editor.
