The Sixth International Conference on Electronic Business is a joint conference of International Consortium on Electronic Business (ICEB) and e-Business Research Center (eBRC), Finland. The conference is organized by Tampere University of Technology, Finland.
The conference was successfully held in Tampere Hall from November 28 to December 2, 2006. The main theme was "Global Conference on Emergent Business Phenomena in the Digital Economy". It was further divided into three areas: (1) Digitization of Business and Its Global Infrastructure - Private and Public Challenges, (2) Creation and Management of Informatino and Knowledge, and (3) Building Business in the Network Economy. The conference committee received a total of 113 submissions that went through a double-blind review process. Seventy-three reseaerch papers were included in the conference proceedings. In addition, 9 keynote presentations were held: Prof. Yrjö Neuvo, Technology Advisor of Nokia Corporation; Prof. Eve Mitleton-Kelly, London School of Economics; Prof. Craig S. Fleisher, University of Windsor; Mr. Francesco Nachira, Sector Head of European Commission; Mr. Erkki Liikanen, Governor of Bank of Finland; Dr. Juha Hynynen, COO of Sulake Corporation Oy; Prof. Eldon Y. Li, Uinversity Chair Professor of National Chengchi University; Mr. Ismo Rautiainen, CEO of Colochrome Ltd.; Dr. Rodrigo Magalhães, Academic Director of Kuwait Maastricht Business School.
The conference started with a Get Together evening at hotel Holiday Inn. Some participants enjoyed the opportunity to attend company visits (Nokia Future Lab and Metso Automation). The three-day conference was held at Tampere Hall, a modern conference center in the center of Tampere City. The Tampere City offered a City Receiption at Old City Hall on Wednesday 29th, and the Conference dinner was held at Finlayson Palace on Thursday 30th.
About 170 researchers attended the conference. They came from 21 countries and areas including Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, the U.S., Turkey, United Kingdom, etc.

The Fifth International Conference on Electronic Business is an annual conference of International Consortium on Electronic Business. The conference is Co-organized by The Chinese University of Hong Kong, The National University of Singapore, National Chiao Tung University (Taiwan), and Tsinghua University (Beijing). It is hosted by the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The conference was successfully held in Sheraton Hotel in Hong Kong on December 5-9, 2005. The theme was "Enhancing Logistics and Supply Chain Competence through e-Busines". The conference committee received more than 200 papers and included 180 papers in the conference proceedings. The topics include decision support & group systems, Internet marketing & advertising, data warehousing & data mining, supply chain management & e-logistics, e-business models & enterprise e-service architecture, mobile commerce, Internet security & privacy, e-procurement, web intelligence, collaborative commerce, and others. We certainly hope this conference can provide a platform for exchanging the findings and issues in e-business.
The conference program started with two days doctoral student seminar held in the campus of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Around 20 doctoral students were invited to participate the seminar. The regular conference program started with the registration reception as well as cocktail reception in the afternoon of 6 December 2005. The opening ceremony, keynote speech, and panelists were scheduled in the morning of 7 December, 2005 at the Ballroom of Sheraton Hotel. The event mingled with more than 100 academics and practitioners was welcomed by Professor T. S. Lee, the Dean of Faculty of Business Administration, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Professor Timon Du, the conference co-chair. The keynoted speeches were delivered by Mr. Tommy Lui, General Manager of IDS, and Mr. Justin Yue, CEO of Tradelink Electronic Commerce Limited. After a short break, a panel discussion, themed as Enhancing Logistics & Supply Chain Competence through e-Business: Asia Perspective, was moderated by Professor Waiman Cheung, the Associate Dean and Conference co-chair, where Ms. Anna Lin, CEO of GS1 Hong Kong; Mr. Phil Yang, DHL Hong Kong; and Mr. Peter Yang, CEO of Global e-Business Service Limited were the panelists. Then, two and half days regular conference presentations began in the afternoon of 7 December, 2005. There were in total 40 sessions scheduled in the program.
About 138 researchers attended the conference. They came from different countries and areas including Australia, Austria, China, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Korea, Lithuania, Macau, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, and the U.S.

The Fourth International Conference on Electronic Business is Co-organized by Tsinghua University (Beijing), The National University of Singapore, National Chiao Tung University (Taiwan), and The Chinese University of Hong Kong; and hosted by School of Economics and Management and Research Center for Contemporary Management, Tsinghua University.
The conference was successfully held in Xiyuan Hotel in Beijing China on December 5-9, 2004. The theme was "Shaping Business Strategy in a Networked world". The conference committees received about 404 abstract and full paper submissions from 31 countries and regions, and 250 accepted papers were accepted and published in the formal conference proceedings. The conference program started with early registration in the afternoon of 5 December 2004. The welcome reception was held at the revolving restaurant at the top layer of Xiyuan Hotel. The plenary session was scheduled in the morning of 6 December 2004. Professor Jian Chen (Tsinghua University), Conference Chair of ICEB 2004 gave a welcome and opening speech in the plenary session. Professor Robert J. Kauffman from University of Minnesota and Prof. David D. Yao from Columbia University were invited to deliver their plenary talks in the plenary session. 40 concurrent fruitful sessions with 178 papers were scheduled in one afternoon (6 December 2004) and two full days (7-8 December 2004). The subjects presented in the sessions range from theories to applications, topics include SCM & e-Logistics, e-Marketing & Service Management, e-Business Model, e-Business Management & Strategy, e-Business-based Organization Management & Innovation, Virtual Organization Management, Mobile Commerce & Business, Trust & Reputation Management, Knowledge Management in e-Business, Internet Security & Privacy, Decision Support & Analysis Techniques, P2P Computing & Grid Computing in e-Business, Case Study in e-Business, Policy, Cyber Law & Intellectual Property, and others related topics.
About 209 researchers attended the conference. The ICEB had successfully hosted its Third International Conference on Electronic Business (ICEB 2003) at the Singapore Marriott Hotel, from 9 to 12 December 2003. The theme was " E-Business Paradigms: Strategic Transformation and Partnership."
The conference program started with early registration in the afternoon of 9 December 2003. Dr. James Ang (NUS), Conference Chair of ICEB 2003 gave a welcome and opening speech in the morning of 10 December 2003 to kick off the program. Three keynote speeches were arranged in the mornings of 10 and 11 December 2003 . The keynote speakers include Professor Liang Ting Peng (from Chinese University of Hong Kong and National Sun Yat Sun University) , Professor Alex Siow Yuen Khong (Chairman NICC and Adjunct Professor of NUS) and Dr. Michael Loh (IBM ASEAN / South Asia's advocate for e-Business on Demand).
Seventy-nine concurrent fruitful sessions with 198 papers were scheduled in one afternoon (10 December 2003) and two full days (11 and 12 Deceember 2003). Two hundred and six participants including invited guests and registrants participated in these sessions. They came from several geographical areas including Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Netherlands, United Kingdom and the U.S.

The ICEB had successfully hosted its Second International Conference on Electronic Business (ICEB 2002) at the Grand Hotel in Taipei, Taiwan, December 10-13, 2002. The theme was "Global E-Business in Knowledge-Based Economy: Management, Practice, and Opportunities." The conference program in the mornings of December 11th and 12th featured keynote speeches, joint sessions of keynote and panel, and journal editor panel session. A special keynote speech was arranged during the conference banquet. Moreover, 48 concurrent sessions with 205 papers were scheduled in two afternoons (December 11th and 12th) and one whole day (December 13th). Two hundred and six participants including invited guests and registrants participated in these sessions. They came from several geographical areas including Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, New Zealand, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, U.K., and the U.S. Several peer-reviewed papers were selected for publication in nine sponsoring journals: Decision Support Systems (DSS), International Journal of Electronic Business (IJEB), International Journal of Electronic Commerce (IJEC), International Journal of Internet and Enterprise Management (IJIEM), International Journal of Mobile Communications (IJMC), International Journal of Service Industry Management (IJSIM), Journal of Global Information Management (JGIM), Quarterly Journal of Electronic Commerce (QJEC), and Total Quality Management (TQM).

The International Consortium for Electronic Business (ICEB) is a newly founded non-profit organization that aims to be the leading forum for e-business knowledge and education in the world. It welcome professionals in such disciplines as business management, change management, computer science, computer engineering, computer network, consumer behavior, digital media, distance learning, education, electronic engineering, entertainment, entrepreneurship, finance, graphic communication, human factors, human resource management, industrial engineering, industrial management, investment, journalism, marketing, operations management, organizational design, supply chain management, telecommunication, telemedicine, among others. The ICEB had successfully hosted its First International Conference on Electronic Business (ICEB 2001) at the Sheraton Hotels and Towers in Hong Kong, December 19-21, 2001. The theme was "Information and Technology Management for Competitive Advantages." The Conference started with a full day of keynote speeches and panel sessions, followed by two full days of 40 concurrent sessions with 183 papers. Two hundred and ten registrants participated in these sessions.
