Lecture Series
Pioneers of Traditional Cel Animation
This lecture series promises to provide a lively look into early frame-by-frame cel animation. Two giants in the industry, Claire Delune and George Putnam, will demonstrate how early animators acted out scenes for live-action cameras, and how artists hand inked and painted the resulting film, frame by frame. A reception will follow in the Main Hall.
