Math 341 Weekly Homework Assignments
- Carefully read the Homework Submission Instructions and Tips for Good Mathematical Writing!
- Weekly homework assignments will typically be collected on
Tuesdays, and each assignment should be thought of as a take-home quiz.
- Weekly homework should be done after you've mastered the
daily homework on the same material. It serves as your opportunity to
make sure you can not only solve the problems, but explain your
solutions carefully (this is the only way to be sure you really
understand them!), as well as get some feedback on your work.
- The weekly homework is intended to be preparation for the quizzes and exams (and
daily homework is your main preparation for the weekly homework).
- Your solutions to weekly homework should be carefully and clearly
explained, and they will be graded partly on that basis. It's your job
to explain your answer to the reader, not the reader's job to search
for a right idea buried in what you wrote.
- Clearly print your first and last name and the assignment number on the top of the first page of your homework assignment.
- Illegible homework will earn a score of 0.
- Please leave at least 4 lines of space between each problem. If you write your solutions in ink, please write on one side of the page only.
- No late
homework will be accepted, but your lowest homework grade will be
dropped in order to allow for exceptional circumstances.
