- Although you are not required to turn in the homework/practice problems, I strongly recommend that you work on these problems immediately after each lecture. Working on the practice problems serves as your opportunity to make sure that you have mastered the material. I recommend that you work on the problems in groups, and that you come by my office if you have any questions about any of the problems. The answers to odd-numbered problems are in the back of your textbook. There will be time set aside in class for discussing homework problems.
- Each week (typically on Tuesdays), except during exam weeks, there will be a short quiz. Some of the quiz problems will be very similar to (or sometimes exactly the same as) the previous week's homework/practice problems. For example, a quiz given on Tuesday, April 9 would cover the material from the week of April 1-5.
