Honolulu, Hawaii ::
Honolulu , the capital of Hawaii , boasts plenty of activities to keep you busy and happy. Popular activities include: shopping at Honolulu 's International Marketplace, visiting Chinatown, touring Pearl Harbor and the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. If spending time at the beach is on your adjenda, be sure to try out snorkeling in Hanauma Bay, soaking up the sun or catching a wave at world-famous Waikiki Beach or surfing. You may also want to, visit Iolani Palace or hike up Diamond Head, a dormant volcano affording amazing views of Honolulu and Waikiki.

As the evening winds down, be sure to enjoy a gorgeous sunset, or even attend a traditional luau and sample Hawaiian cuisine while you watch cultural dances and activities. However you decide to spend your time in Honolulu, its's a wonderful way to conclude your adventures on the TS Golden Bear.

- Students
will take a minimum of 12 Cal Poly quarter units
pluse 2 CMA semester units of training. All students
on board must take a 40-hour life saving program
that helps prepare them for emergencies that may
occur on board. This course is scheduled one week
prior to departure. A 30-hour seminar is also provided
to allow students to familiarize themselves with
fire safety, seamanship, navigation, engineering,
communication, rescue-at-sea, and marine environmental
protection.
