Cal Poly Public Affairs - Social Media Web Sites List

Social media sites like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn are attracting more Cal Poly alumni, students, and prospective students daily. The Public Affairs Office is working with Cal Poly's Information Technology Services division to develop policy guidelines for participating in the social media arena.

Right now, you can help Cal Poly alumni, students, prospective students and parents find your social media site by joining the Cal Poly Social Media sites list, linked from the Cal Poly Home Page and the Cal Poly News Web page.

You can find the page here: http://calpolynews.calpoly.edu/social-media.html

Public Affairs will add to the list and help cross-promote your social media site, if it meets these guidelines:

1) The social media site or page has a Cal Poly employee (faculty or staff) as an administrator.

2) The social media site or page promotes an official Cal Poly college, division, department, program or instructionally-related activity.

To submit your social media site for addition to the list, email the page/site url to polynews@calpoly.edu with the words "social media" in the subject line and tell us who is the staff contact for the page/site.
