2015 Chicano/Latino Commencement
The Chicano/Latino Commencement (CLC) dedicates its efforts to promoting a graduation commencement ceremony for Latino or interested students who have fulfilled the requirements towards receiving a Baccalaureate or Master's degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. This commencement ceremony positively portrays the accomplishments of Latino students to siblings, parents and friends. For more information, contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
Cal Poly Student Clubs and Organizations
The purposes of CLFSA is to:
- Help foster an atmosphere of mutual support, advocacy, understanding, and "familia" between and among Chicana Latino faculty, staff, and the wider university community;
- Educate ourselves and the general public on important issues pertaining to the Chicana Latino community;
- Provide a broad network of Chicana Latino role models, support, and advocacy to help ensure the overall success of Chicana and Latino students;
- Be full partners in Cal Poly’s efforts to preserve and foster diversity and the integrity and vitality of the public commitments of our university mission statement.
The next Chicana Latino Faculty Staff Association (CLFSA) meeting is scheduled Thursday, March 5th, from 12:10-1:00 pm in Bldg 10-241.
The CLFSA is open to all Cal Poly faculty, staff, and administrators who have an interest in Chicana Latino issues in education and who are committed to promoting the goals and objectives of the Association. All current and interested members are welcome.
Note: The terms Chicana and Latino are used to be all inclusive of both MEN and WOMEN.
