Service Learning courses are offered during every quarter at Cal Poly. The following list of courses are courses that are offered most regularly. This list is not inclusive of all course offerings! There are many other courses available, and the set of classes offered depends on the academic quarter.

New Service Learning Courses

Hnrs/Univ x491: Poly Dlab - Sustainable Design for Impoverished Communities.

Instructors: Sema Alptekin, Clare Battista, Patrice Engle, Bud Evans, Dianne Long, and Peter Schwartz. This three-course series will give students the basic skills and understanding to respond to particular design challenges with "appropriate" solutions, which are inexpensive, ecologically sustainable, and institutionally adaptable.

Univ 424Hnrs/Univ x424: Design of Museum Displays on Science, Engineering and Technology

Instructors: Kathy Chen, Robert Arens, Lynne Slivovsky and Shirley Magnusson. This community-based course centers on educational museum displays. Students will work with community partners to develop displays aimed at children and the general public.
